Who plays here
The fields are used by the Dover-Sherborn Soccer Club (DSSC) for practices and games, along with premier soccer clubs that practice and play at Fessenden. The 9v9 field is generally used by 5th and 6th grade teams, while the full-size 11v11 field is used by 7th and 8th grade teams. Some DSSC home games in the BAYS league are played at Fessenden.
Parking and restrooms
A gravel parking lot is located next to the fields, with a portable toilet available during the soccer season. Compared with some of Sherborn’s other youth sports facilities, Fessenden has a more tucked-away setting, with the fields surrounded largely by woods.

Other fields on your schedule
Younger DSSC teams play at Laurel Farm Fields on North Main Street.
Dover-Sherborn teams also play at fields in Dover. If your schedule says Caryl or Chickering, those are in Dover, not Sherborn, so double-check the address before you head out. DSSC posts the open or closed status of its fields on its website, which is especially helpful after a rainy night.
Good to know
For visiting families
- Check the field status on dssoccer.net after rain. Fields close when they are too wet.
- Bring chairs, water, and snacks.
- Leave the dog at home. Sherborn’s fields are dog-free.
- Looking for coffee or lunch after the game? See our dining guide for spots in town.
