Sherborn.com is owned and operated by Top Notch Domains, LLC (“we,” “us”). This policy explains what information the site collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Sherborn.com has no user accounts, no advertising, and no newsletter. We collect only the following:

• Messages you send us. If you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, and message by email.
• Visitor statistics. We use Statcounter to count visits and see which pages are useful. Statcounter records information such as the pages viewed, the referring website, browser and device type, approximate location based on IP address, and the time of the visit. It uses cookies to do this.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider automatically logs basic technical information, such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, to operate and secure the site.
• Spam protection. To limit abuse of the contact form, a one-way scrambled version of your IP address is stored on our server for about an hour.
• Fonts. The site’s fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google’s servers, which receive your IP address.

How we use it

We use this information to reply to your messages, understand how the site is used, keep it running and secure, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers that help run the site, such as our web host, email provider, Statcounter, and Google Fonts, and only as needed for them to provide their services. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or transfer of the site or our business.

Cookies

Statcounter sets cookies to tell new visitors from returning ones. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site works the same without them. See Statcounter’s privacy policy and Google’s privacy policy for how those services handle data.

How long we keep it

We keep contact form messages only as long as needed to respond and keep reasonable records. Statcounter and our host keep their data according to their own retention settings.

Your choices

You can ask us what personal information we have about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing info@sherborn.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and as required by applicable law.

Children

Sherborn.com is meant for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

The site uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. No website or email system is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive information through the contact form.

Sherborn.com links to Town, school, business, and organization websites. Their privacy practices are their own, and we are not responsible for them.
